    2011 JUNIORS SEASON:

    TUFC Juniors is pleased to invite new and returning players to Register with the Club for the 2011 season.

    For the information of new players, TUFC Juniors' colours are bottle/dark green, yellow and white. Our home grounds are at Hyland Place, Wanniassa. Games are played on Saturdays.

    The U10-U18 ACT Junior season will commence on Saturday 7 May and is expected to end on 10 September (excluding the July school holidays). TUFC Juniors Rooballers (U6-U9) will start on 14 May and finish on 17 September. Rooballers do not play on the 11 June (long weekend). TUFC Juniors has teams in Open and Girls-only competitions.

    COME AND TRY SOCCER:

    Do you want to try soccer but are unsure? Rooball players who turn 5 to 9 years old in 2011 (ie born between 2002 and 2006) can come and try before registering with TUFC Juniors at:

    Wanniassa Playing Fields, Hyland Place 11am - 12 noon on Sunday 17 April 2011.

    Wear long socks & shinpads if you have them, and bring a water bottle.

    Girls can register for Girls-only or Mixed competitions. Register online at www.myfootballclub.com.au before 20 April in order to ensure a place in a team.

    Rooball games start on Saturday 14 May. See our Rooball sheet online at the REGISTRATION page for more information about games.

    TUFC Juniors is a community-based organization, and relies on volunteers in order to avoid increases in registration fees for our players. We are looking for volunteers for the following positions to ensure a successful 2011 season. Please note, assistance and support will be provided to volunteers to help ease them into the role they chose.

    REVISED TUFC ROOBALL START AND FINISH DATES FOR 2011

    Due to the closure of all ACT sporting grounds from 13 September, we have reviewed the dates for the start and finish of TUFC Juniors U6-U9 Rooball teams. The Rooball season will now commence on the SAME DAY as U10-U18 teams, i.e. Saturday 7 May 2011; and the final games and Presentation Day will be on the same final day as U10-U18 teams, i.e. Saturday 11 September 2011.

    SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM:

    TUFC Juniors is promoting a school holiday soccer program from:

    VENOM FOOTBALL - GIVE YOUR GAME SOME BITE!

    South side 3 day camp, 9am to 4pm
    27, 28 and 29 April 2011
    $150 for 3 days, $55 per day.
    Wanniassa 2 playing fields, Hyland Place off Wheeler Crescent.
    Suitable for 5 to 12 year olds.

    The program will be run by Jeremy Butler who is a qualified Child Care Director with over 15yrs experience in School Age Care. Jeremy is an FFA qualified coach, has conducted many junior clinics, has worked extensively with the Capital Football High Performance Program and has been Capital Football's schools development officer. This year Jeremy will be coaching the TUFC Juniors U10 Open Red team which includes his daughter Cameron. Jeremy was first involved with TUFC in 1984 as a 6yr old playing with the then Kambah United club. Jeremy has played over 300 first grade games for TUFC, and was team and club captain for 8yrs. His passion for football has seen him travel the world to coach and play as well as attend World Cups.

    COACHES & MANAGERS MEETING

    The Coaches & Managers briefing meetings will take place on Tuesday 3 May 2011, at The Burns Club, Kett St, Kambah, from 6.30-7.30pm for the U6-U9 team officials and from 7.45pm - 9pm for the U10-U18 team officials. Attendance by at least one representative from every team is essential. Team Manuals will be distributed.

    There will also be practical sessions for coaches - all Rooball coaches are encouraged to attend the Grassroots Certificate course on 8 May (see notice elsewhere) if they have not already done so. Other coaching sessions will be advised once a TDOC has been appointed.

    GRASSROOTS TRAINING FOR TUFC ROOBALL COACHES:

    Visit our Coaching Page for more details. ROOBALL REGISTRATIONS WELCOME UNTIL 20 APRIL U6 to U9 Rooball players (ie children born between 2002 and 2006) are welcome to register with Tuggeranong United Football Club Juniors until 20 April 2011.

    After that date, registrations will be accepted only if there is a vacancy in a team in the relevant age group. If you are new to club football (soccer), registration is a two-step process.
